I’m a certified Japanese teacher from Kawasaki City in Japan. My background is in business administration and international trade. Before becoming a Japanese teacher, I worked for a global semiconductor company for 33 years and was secretary for senior officials in the Japanese cabinet, working on trade between Japan and other countries for 6 years.
我是來自日本川崎市經過認證的日文教師。我的背景是工商管理和國際貿易。在成為日語教師之前,我在一家全球半導體公司工作了33年,並擔任日本內閣高級官員秘書,負責日本與其他國家之間的貿易工作6年。
Having worked with many people from other countries, going on business trips to many countries, and experiencing different cultures, I love to interact with people from abroad and share the beauty of Japan and the Japanese language with them. I also love to learn to about cultures myself. I have visited the UK, Australia, Taiwan, and the Philippines many times with my friends and family.

Anthony Haynes is the founder and CEO of CherryTree Consulting. In 2016, he founded Clear Water Academy 一清社, the Japanese and Mandarin teaching division of CherryTree Consulting in Edinburgh, UK. He received his Ph.D. in ethics from the University of Edinburgh in 2018. For almost ten years, he has provided educational consulting services to clients around the world, including managers at international companies such as Nissan and Ericsson, as well as directors of real estate companies and ballet schools.
Anthony has also worked for Japanese ‘eikaiwa’ language schools, worked for Japanese manufacturing companies in the Kyushu region, and lectured at universities in the UK, Brazil, the Philippines, and Japan, including the Chiba Institute of Technology.
Class postponement, cancellation, absences, and refund policy:
Students may postpone a class to a different date if they notify CherryTree Consulting within 24 hours of the scheduled class time (a full day before the class). A class may be postponed one time, after which, if the student does not attend at the scheduled time, they will not be eligible to further postpone a class.
Students will be charged the full cost of class fees if they wish to cancel a class within 24 hours of the class (a full day before the class), but will be able to book another class for 50% of the class fee.
If the student does not attend a class and has not notified CherryTree Consulting of their wish to postpone the class 24 hours within the scheduled time of the class (a full day before a class), they will not be eligible to postpone the class or receive refund.
